Dr Gobithas Tharmarajah
BSc (Hons) Moratuwa, PhD in Structural Eng (UK), AMIE(SL)
Dr Gobithas Tharmarajah is a structural engineer and academia with over 13 years of experience in academia and industry. A Senior Lecturer at SLIIT, he specializes in structural analysis, design, and composite materials, supervising numerous research projects and publishing extensively. He has secured multiple research grants, including from the National Research Council, and collaborates with the industry on innovative materials like FRP and natural fibre composites. As a Chief Technology Officer at MVIVO Pvt Ltd, he led the design of prefabricated buildings. His expertise focuses on sustainable construction using advanced composites and cold-formed steel.

Eng. Mithun is a Testing Engineer with over 8 years of hands-on experience in the quality testing industry in Sri Lanka. Throughout his career, he has successfully contributed to numerous high-impact projects, consistently delivering results that meet and exceed client requirements and industry standards. With a strong foundation in AI (Artificial Intelligence), Machine Learning, IoT (Internet of Things), and Industrial Automation, He stands at the forefront of integrating cutting-edge technology into traditional testing and inspection methodologies. His passion lies in combining innovation with precision engineering to optimize quality assurance processes and advance the future of non-destructive testing (NDT) and smart infrastructure solutions across Sri Lanka

Prof. L. I. N. de Silva
B.Sc Eng (Moratuwa), M.Eng(Tokyo), PhD(Tokyo), C.Eng, MIE (SL)
Professor Nalin de Silva is a highly accomplished academic and geotechnical engineering consultant with around two decades of experience in the field. He holds a Bachelor's degree from the University of Moratuwa (2001), followed by a Master's (2004) and PhD (2008) from the University of Tokyo, reflecting a strong academic foundation. Over the years, he has been an active member of the Institution of Engineers (since 2011) and the International Society of Soil Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering (since 2009). His extensive expertise has contributed to several major infrastructure projects, including serving as a geotechnical consultant for the Supporting Electricity Supply Reliability Improvement Project (SESIRIP) – Package 4 for 33kV tower lines and gantries, the Central Expressway Project – Package 2 from Meerigama to Rilloluwa, and the JICA-funded Kandy City Waste Water Management Project. His career reflects a consistent blend of academic excellence, technical leadership, and impactful contributions to national development.
